The ice and snow are beginning to melt around here.  It is still freezing cold, literally!  I had a thought this week as this next wave of artic cold was blasting our direction.  “It is temporary.”  Spring will come again, the summer sun will be blazing again,  and the crisp cool change of fall will come again.  Each season is temporary and has its reason for being.  God reassured us of this fact:  There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.  Ecclesiastes 3:1  (courtesy of biblegateway.com).

    But this thought was more than just about winter’s cold chill, it was about each trial, challenge and stage of our lives .  They are each and all temporary.  Who I am today, will be different in five years.  This was an exciting thought, it gave me hope.  Just because today I may not be excellent at finances, tomorrow I can be or if I weigh a few extra pounds today, does not mean that I will forever.  Tomorrow holds a brand new fresh beginning.  This current state is only temporary.
